I am a white hispanic American. My wife and I have had people from Mexico and Peru live with us for extended periods of time. We until recently had someone who grew up in NJ and was part Dominican part Puerto Rican, who had children from a black American father. I never saw so much
blatant racism as what I witnessed in the person who grew up in the US and had children who were half black. She saw racism against blacks everywhere and was the absolute most racist person I had ever met. I find very few white people to be racist and many (if not most) black people to be racist and simultaneously hyper sensitive to racism against blacks to the point where they see racism where none exists.
My wife and I have found that when people come to Christ, they often have many behaviors, preferences, and beliefs they must leave behind in order to mature in Christ. Hate, prejudice, anger, desire for revenge, inability to forgive, sex outside of marriage, and desires for drugs all fall within this process. To do so, they must be discipled and taught what God's word says concerning this. It seems to me this is the sort of thing that must happen with people who are racist.
Our society needs to realize that what we see and listen to on TV, radio, movies, newspapers, etc. all affect us negatively. Just as TV wants to show homosexuals in every show as if in an attempt to convince the general population that there are more people who are homosexual than there really are - so too do they want to convince us that racism is more prevalent than it truly is. Christians need to realize that poor behavior in the eyes of God is all the same - this includes believing people who are not racist to be racists. God is color blind, and so should we all be.
Now as to the topic of this article, I find Aunt Jemima to be wonderful pancake mix and syrup. I see nothing wrong with using that image to satirically highlight the fact that Obama has no position of his own about which he has not flipped flopped. It seems Obama will make a statement, realize the polls do not like it and then flip-flop. To take this as an indication of racism simply shows the fact that those who take it that way have not been able to grow beyond the indoctrination that the media and far-left have successfully instilled in the black population of this country.
